Korea's AI Framework Act: Company Checklist

Put every AI system your company uses into one inventory, identify your role and owner, then prepare notices, records, human oversight and incident procedures.

Six steps for the first 30 days

This is a working sequence, not a claim that every item is a legal duty for every company. Confirm your role and the nature of each service first.

1. AI inventory

Record the department, product, model, supplier, input data and the business use of each output.

2. Business role

For each service, identify whether the company develops, provides or uses the AI and name the responsible team.

3. High-impact screening

Review the statutory sector and possible effects on life, safety and fundamental rights. Keep the basis and review date.

4. User notice

Decide where to disclose AI use, label generated content and explain questions or objections.

5. Risk and oversight

Keep error tests, human approval points, stop authority, user protection, logs and change history together.

6. Contracts and incidents

Cover supplier information, security notice, model changes, service exit and complaint handling in contracts and procedures.

Six documents to bring to the meeting

Names may change to fit the company. Each document should show who changed it and when.

AI system register

Service, purpose, owner, supplier, data, users and countries of use.

High-impact screening sheet

Sector, affected people, severity, frequency and supporting material.

Risk register

Expected failures, test results, remaining risk, owner and due date.

Notice library

Approved wording for product screens, contracts, help pages and generated content.

Human oversight map

Where AI proposes, a person approves, and a stop or fallback decision is available.

Incident playbook

Detection, suspension, reporting, user notice, investigation and approval to resume.
